It ‘a project aimed at high school students, through our partner Italia Uganda, we have spread in two editions, the first nationally in 2008, the second in the schools and the province of Pavia in 2012, thanks to a contribution from the Province of Pavia.
The goal is to raise awareness among young people to issues of international cooperation. The project is based on a documentary that tells the story of six students of our school Bishop Cipriano Kihangire secondary and describes their difficulties, but also their dreams and hopes for the future, which then are unexpectedly similar to those of the young people of our benefactor’s country: feel good, not to be discriminated against, to start a family, find a job.
We organize meetings in primary and secondary schools to sensitize students about the most important issues of cooperation, to increase knowledge and understanding of the importance of values such as education, peace and social justice in the process of development of a country.
Our efforts are focused in particular on the promotion of the right to education : we consider the school as an important area of reflection on the themes of solidarity and for that we have actively involved students and teachers in our projects.
