The Big Project

The Catering School/State of the art Hotel  Project

October 1-8, 2017 marked the celebration and recognition of a legacy so immeasurable.  The first Anniversary of the Commemoration of our beloved Rev. Fr. John Scalabrini (RIP), founder Emmaus Foundation took place. In the foundation’s calendar, it is a very special week for the fraternity. People’s lives did and continue to change. Fr. John gave all, expecting nothing in return except the satisfaction that his children will have a future that no one can take away from them; for the sole purpose of promoting liberation of the vulnerable from the “double tragedy” as he called it, of being poor and worse still without an education. Today we celebrate top of the top engineers of all calibers and categories, doctors and world class surgeons, the list is endless and continues to grow. All this is attributed to one man – Fr. John Scalabrini.

The Big Project

And yet there still is a lot of unfinished work he left behind, so that you and me will take up the mantle and finish his unfinished work.  In the picture is one of the structures/projects that depict that fact. It is supposed to be a state of the art hotel and catering school. Friends of Fr.John in Uganda and the diaspora, the now educated and independent children of Fr. John, members of alumni attached to the schools that Fr. John built or contributed to, friends and supporters: Support Emmaus Foundation to finish this work. “Carry on” he urged us. Let us do what he commissioned us to, before he went to be with the Lord. The generational blessing that he founded is here in our faces and needs our nurturing, so that our children will tap into the blessing. May his legacy of Education, Health and Charity continue to live.
