CELBRATING THE LEGACY OF REV. FR. JOHN SCALABRINI

The management, staff, partners and the entire fraternity of Emmaus Foundation (EF) with great joy bring to the attention of the public, Christians and well-wishers in Uganda and in the diaspora, the first annual commemoration of the philanthropist and founder of Emmaus Foundation Fr.John Scalabrini (RIP).“Fr. John” as he was commonly called went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2016. We are celebrating his life and legacy because of the great things he did among the people of Uganda, including but not limited to: building churches, schools and a hospital. Thousands of people especially the poor and disadvantaged, orphans and the sick have and continue to receive assistance in the areas of education, health and social support.

Join the Emmaus fraternity in celebrating this grand cause starting 1-8 October, 2017 as indicated in the program. Emmaus Foundation a not-for-profit organization whose mandate is to “Carry-on”,the 7- letter loaded word that the fallen charismatic catholic priest that he was left us, is being realized through the articulation of the EF’s Mission and Organizational goal:

To extend a helping hand, through availing life changing opportunities that purpose skill acquisition that is meant to promote, protect and stabilize the livelihoods of the grass root needy and poor Ugandans, through focus on education, health and social support for self-sustenance.

This year’s THEME is:
FR.JOHN SCALABRINI’S LEGACY LIVES
Restoring Human Dignity through Education and Health.

As you celebrate with us, we also invite you to partner with us and support this event in whatever way possible. A number of activities including prayers, community medical and sanitation outreach and sports gala have been planned to take place during this one week period. The Fr. John Scalabrini Charity Run is a highlight event whose proceeds will go towards education sponsorship for the poor and disadvantaged children, an act that Fr. John cherished so dearly.
